Piemonte
Great people, classic cars, the rolling hills of Piemonte, fabulous chefs, incredible wine, delicate truffles and plenty of sun once again provided that magic cocktail called The Lonville Classic. And yes, there were some amazing watches present too.
At already the sixth edition of our deliberately small event we once again challenged ourselves to send cars on some of those impossible to find roads that cut through the vineyards of Piemonte’s unspoiled landscape. Roads where you can touch the grapes by just putting your hand out of the window.
It’s not only the lovely countryside, gorgeous views and graceful automobiles that make the Lonville Classic a magnificent experience. It’s the people you meet, the laughter you have and the memories that are made along the way. And let’s not forget the true Italian hospitality. For a rally that’s built around timed regularity challenges, time is unusually not of the essence at all. The Lonville Classic is all about living in the moment, when time becomes irrelevant because you are doing what you love, and you forget everything else.
Most rally stages were based on timed tulip navigation, but as per our tradition participants also need to paint, dart and look fabulous to match their cars. It’s all part of the fun and with cars from various decades the Lonville Classic tends to stop the traffic wherever we pass.
As everybody knows by now, we like to live La Dolce Vita, and there is no better way to spend this with a like-minded group of people having a great week-end. Congratulations to the winners and a very big thank you to the amazing crew and all of the participants for once again making this rally one to never forget!
